Midas crowned Construction Firm of the Year
The Midas Group was named Construction Firm of the Year at the coveted South West Property Awards, held at the Bristol Marriot Hotel last night, October 9th.
The judges for the awards, which are run by South West Business Insider, were unanimous in their decision, with the awards nomination highlighting the firm’s performance levels and in particular three outstanding projects – Filwood Green Business Park, Narrow Quay, both in Bristol, and Cranbrook School, near Exeter - where Midas had excelled in the resolution of technical issues.
Judges on the night also praised the Genesis Project, in Plymouth, inspired by the Millfields Trust which helps underprivileged people in a deprived neighbourhood of the city.
Alan Hope, Chief Executive of The Midas Group, said: “It was a privilege for me to collect this award on behalf of all at The Midas Group.
“This success is a result of the hard work and commitment of all our people. It shows that our commitment to delivering our vision of being widely acclaimed for industry leading performance and customer service is gaining the business real traction and recognition in the marketplace.”
Midas has achieved customer satisfaction scores of 83 per cent since the implementation of the vision, well above industry average. This has led to more than 70 per cent of contracts during 2014 arising from repeat clients, and an especially strong financial position for Midas at the end of the financial year in 2014, with turnover increasing by 12 per cent to £202.9m and pre-tax profits up by 73 per cent to £2.1m.
