Midas Group has launched a new quarterly internal award recognizing outstanding levels of customer service.
Named in memory of the late Midas Construction Executive Director for Devon & Cornwall, the inaugural Murdo Mace Award for Outstanding Customer Service has been won by the Midas Retail team that has recently completed the £8 million Waitrose scheme in Exeter.
Emma Doherty, HR manager for Midas Group, said: "The work of the Exeter Waitrose team showcases many of the positive behaviours and outcomes that that Midas is trying to encourage both with our vision and with the launch of this award
"We are looking for collaborative team working for the good of the client, industry leading performance in delivering quality construction solutions, excellent H&S standards, high Considerate Construction Scheme scores, successful community engagement activity and positive client feedback
"In the case of the Waitrose Exeter team, they achieved all this and more. Midas Developments took the scheme to Waitrose and Midas Retail delivered it for both Developments and Waitrose with the client now holding up the Exeter store as a ‘benchmark' scheme.

"I have been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic and comprehensive responses we received from across the Group. I am delighted that so many Midas people took the time to identify colleagues and teams whom have demonstrated outstanding customer service."
