New Midas appointment aims to build strong business relationships across Wessex region

Forging new relationships and building on long-term partnerships are the main focus for a new Business Development Manager with Midas Construction.

Ben Woodgate took on the newly-created role recently and is relishing the opportunity to meet and establish business partnerships with clients throughout the Wessex area.

Based in Bristol, Ben will play a key role in managing client relationships and developing project opportunities for Midas Construction across a range of sectors, from student accommodation to office spaces, schools and retirement homes.

It’s part of Midas’s successfully strategy emphasising a partnership approach, together with industry leading customer service and performance, which is already seeing 75 per cent of the Group’s projects being carried out on a repeat business basis.

Derek Quinn, Executive Director for Midas Construction, part of the Midas Group, said: “This appointment creates a dedicated Business Development Manager for the Wessex area. As well as developing new business links, a large part of the role is to continue to build strong and lasting relationships with our current client partnerships.

“The extent to which our business model is driven by repeat business reflects our commitment to providing the best possible service for our clients and we were very pleased to have this acknowledged recently with a business award for our customer service.”

Before taking on the role, Ben was a Bid Manager with Midas, working as part a successful team driving a pipeline of activity for the Group.

Ben Woodgate said: “I am really excited to take on this role and bring my understanding and success as a bid manager to this position. Wessex is hive of construction activity and it is great to meet potential and existing clients to learn more about their projects and explain the high quality developments, award winning customer service and value for money that we can provide.”

It comes at a time when Midas is also looking to grow its business through expansion in two key UK regional markets, with the announcement earlier this year that it has opened new offices in the Midlands and South East.

The company, which is one of the UK's largest independent construction and property services providers, has moved into new offices in Leatherhead to serve the South East, as well as an office in Longbridge, in Birmingham, to cover the West Midlands.
