Award winning customer service at heart of new Midas appointment
A business with award winning customer service at its heart is launching a number of new training initiatives to coincide with the appointment of a new Group Learning and Development Manager.
Chris Townsend has taken on the new role with Midas Group, one of the UK’s largest independent construction and property services providers. Based in Bristol, Chris will oversee all ongoing learning and development of employees across the group.
The company recently won the coveted customer excellence category at the Business Leader South West Awards and plans to continue showcasing its vision for industry leading customer service with the launch of a new employee training initiative.
Alan Hope, Chief Executive of Midas Group, said: “The arrival of our new Group L&D Manager is part of our wider vision to continually support and develop the skills of our people so they can deliver outstanding projects and ensure a high quality customer experience.
“Chris’ role will be vital as we strive to keep offering more for our customers, for our people and for the communities we live and work in.”
With 15 years’ experience as a learning and development professional, Chris has joined Midas from a health care organisation where he also ran a commercial training centre. Prior to this, he worked for a global engineering consultancy where he instigated a number of development initiatives including an award-winning graduate training programme and a scheme to support new project leaders.
Chris Townsend said: “I am really looking forward to taking on this role with Midas, an organisation renowned for its investment in the development of people and the positive effect this can have on customer service.
‘I hope to bring more structure and customer focus to our learning and development offering for all of our people, as well as utilising our apprenticeship levy to invest in the next generation of construction workers.”
