Bristol Hotel reaches the top
The Cabot Circus Hotel development reached its full height this week.
Midas Construction, part of the Midas Group, is constructing the eight storey, 149 bed hotel for Future Inns. There are bedroom types to suit all needs, and each will be fully fitted out, air-conditioned and will have internet connections.
The hotel will have bar, restaurant and comprehensive conference and banqueting facilities. It will also contain a new Jazz club in the basement to cater for the vibrant but underserved Jazz scene in Bristol. The music will filter through to the diners on the ground floor and the first floor is being acoustically sealed for those wishing to sleep!
Midas started on site back in November 2007 and the completion of the building is expected during the spring of 2009. The Hotel is located alongside the new award winning Cabot Circus retail development in Bristol City Centre.
Future Inns hotels in the UK was founded and setup by two Canadian Entrepreneurs. The hotel format was opened in the UK in 2005 and originated from the commercially successful and popular Future Inns hotels in Canada which date back to 1989. Following the success of Future Inns Canada, they have successfully opened hotels in the United Kingdom, bringing the unique Canadian hospitality and brand values of; comfort, convenience and value to their guests.
The topping out celebration is held when the highest point of a new building has been constructed. It is a celebration to thank the workers for their efforts, to honour their safe working and to wish safety for those about to complete the construction.
Future Inns also has hotels in Plymouth and Cardiff, built by Midas Construction.
