Bailey of Bristol Caravans
Division: Midas Energy
Sector: Industrial
Location: Bristol
Client: Baileys of Bristol
Value: £2.8m
Duration: 31 weeks
Completed: June 2016
Project Summary
As part of Midas Construction’s successful delivery of a steel portal framed warehouse, on a constrained site with limited space, the team collaborated with Midas Energy to improve the site’s energy efficiency and secure favourable government feed-in tariff rates through installation of an extensive PV system.
Covering 1,513m² and weighing 17,033kg, this 231kW PV system covers the pitched roof of an existing warehouse. Midas completed the installation project early, through effective resource and programme management, to secure the tariff rates before their reduction in early 2016.
Midas worked closely with our client to reduce disturbances and obstructions at this live factory site, and the team began regular communication with the adjacent Ministry of Defense site six months in advance of the project start to ensure logistics were agreed with all stakeholders in advance.
