New Kitchens and Bathrooms For Over 3,000 Homes in South Wales

Project summary

  • Region: Wales
  • Value: £13,000,000
  • Contract length: 6 years
  • Community: The works are being undertaken within a 6-year framework agreement. The long-term nature of the agreement provides stability of work, which enables Mi-space to employ more local staff directly and invest in their training. In turn, that training means that the work is done to a consistently high standard, benefiting both NPT Homes and the residents for many years to come.

Mi-space is working with Grow Enterprise Wales (GrEW) to help economically inactive people to find work as a result of this project. In addition to both direct and indirect employment of local people, apprenticeships have also been created and work experience places are being provided.

Mi-space focuses on using local SME suppliers and contractors as delivery partners, so that the money spent on the project by NPT Homes is retained in the local economy. This project will therefore develop a long-term legacy of higher skills and higher employment rates in the local community.

Mi-space Asset Management is replacing kitchens and bathrooms in approximately 3,500 properties in the Port Talbot area of South Wales. The work includes all electrical, plumbing, decoration and refurbishment works required.
