The works comprised the internal refurbishment, repair and reconfiguration of the building, the conversion of two open atriums to internal spaces, and the remodelling of the building's external courtyard. Internally M+E and AV services and timber flooring were stripped out and replaced, new suspended ceilings were fitted, existing glazed ceilings were refurbished, six plant rooms were refitted, staircases were removed to create space for further teaching areas, and a new refectory was installed.
