Project Detail
Refurbishment and reconfiguration of an existing 1970s shopping centre building, with live Waitrose store and tenants inside, in central London W2.
This project was a challenging refurbishment and reconfiguration of a four-storey 1970s shopping centre building, which included a live Waitrose store and residential tenants on the second floor. The building was in a busy location with neighbours close by and adjacent to a main road. Operations for Waitrose continued during the works, with them decanting to temporary ground floor facilities during the process. Refurbishments included the adaptation of the existing service yard to support the renewed Waitrose store, five speculative retail units and existing Gooch Public House, along with the provision of new lifts and escalators.
