This project was funded by Millfields Trust, the LEP, ERDF and Plymouth City Council. The new four storey building encompasses striking aesthetic features and offers 2,000m² workspaces and ancillary spaces for local SMEs and start-up businesses. The building features a reinforced concrete frame with a mixture of Portland stone cladding, glazed curtain walling, a living wall on one elevation, a glass lift at the rear elevation, a reception area on the ground floor, separate workspace areas on the upper floors, and a core area on each level with toilets, shower / changing facilities and a communal kitchen. A PV array is installed on the roof. The project will allow for the generation of 50 new businesses and 200 new jobs; it forms a model for further regeneration in the area.
