Construction of a new doctors surgery, PCT offices, dental surgery and associated external works.
The project was carried out on a full design and build basis as part of the Plymouth LIFT private/public finance initiative to regenerate strategic areas of the city. Midas were involved from inception finding a suitable site and attending user group and design team meetings to ensure the project fully met the end users requirements.
As a part shareholder in ReSound Health, the developer and building owner, it was also important to give careful consideration to life cycle costing and maintenance of the finished building to ensure the efficient use and operation of the building once completed. Midas worked closely with all stakeholders during the early design stages to ensure all expectations were met.
The building was constructed with a steel frame with precast concrete floors and blockwork external walls. Internal walls were all metal stud to accommodate any changes to the office layout in the future.
