Project: A £4.5m office block for Deeley Freed in Bristol.

Midas Construction completed a £4.5m office block for Deeley Freed in Bristol.

The £4.5m project involved extending and refurbishing a five storey office block with rear external parking facilities at Ten Victoria Street.  The extension has increased the office space available to 46,124 ft².

Throughout the project, Midas helped local, disadvantaged young people by joining up with Deeley Freed and The Park in Knowle West to offer young people both apprenticeships and work experience.  Bristol Rugby was also actively involved with The Park with this project, and the current captain; Roy Winters, attended the topping out ceremony of the building in February.

A number of Bristol companies in partnership with Deeley Freed have provided funds for a Level 2 Construction course at The Park in Knowle to assist young people who have a desire to pursue vocational training within the construction industry.

Iain Neary from Deeley Freed confirmed that the project had developed into a real partnership, not only in the progression of the construction scheme on programme, but also in training boys from The Park and employing them to assist in their long term development within the construction industry.
