In December 2011, the Group published its Sustainability Strategy for 2012 - 2015 and introduced the ‘7-Steps to Sustainability' concept and theme. The principles that underpin the Group's Sustainability Strategy have been developed in response to the ever growing demand for more socially, environmentally and economically sustainable buildings delivered by socially and environmentally responsible businesses.
Focussing on these 7 strategic areas will help us make a positive contribution through a sustainable business model designed to ensure that we are planning, procuring and building for generations to come.
Each one of our seven steps:
has a potential impact on the ‘triple bottom line' of People, Planet, Profit and will provide the structure for implementing, monitoring and reporting new and amended targets and initiatives in our updated Group Sustainability Plan to be launched shortly.
