This project involved the redevelopment of Cheltenham's Regent Arcade which houses the towns famous Wishing Fish Clock and is at the heart of High Street shopping in the Cotswolds largest shopping hub.
As extensive works needed to be carried out while existing shops remained open and trading, 90% of the works were carried out during the night.
The scheme incorporated a completely new glass roof that required the construction of one of the longest temporary roofs in the country. An extensive scaffolding system was in place to act as a crash deck and special care had to to be taken to ensure the £400,000 Wishing Fish Clock continued to function.
In conjunction with the new roof, the Mall had an entirely new marble floor laid, existing lifts and escalators were updated and all cladding within the mall was either replaced or repainted.
