Midas Construction has been working on the refurbishment of Regent Arcade; a premier shopping destination in the heart of Cheltenham linking the main high street to Cheltenham's promenade.  It has over 65 retail outlets over two floors, plus seven restaurants and a car park with 500 spaces.

Midas has been working with the Arcade owner, Canada Life, to bring Regent Arcade back up to date with a multi-million pound refurbishment consisting of:

A new glass roof that replaces the existing roof light:  This will be a flat roof comprised of reinforced double glazed low iron glass that is currently used only by Marks & Spencer and Porsche. The roof will have a 7.5° pitch incorporating automatic smoke vents The roof will comprise approximately 400 panels of glass.

• The internal environment of the Arcade will also be upgraded with a complete overhaul of the M+E elements, new wall cladding and floor tiling, together with new and refurbished lifts and escalators.
• New lighting, safety and security systems will also be installed.

The refurbishment works will make for a lighter, brighter, more modern shopping centre in the heart of Cheltenham.
