A four month project to refurbish Padstow's internationally renowned Seafood Restaurant was completed earlier this month (Friday 1 February) as representatives from Midas joined owners Rick and Jill Stein in celebrating the successful completion of the work.

Midas chairman, Steve Hindley and Midas project manager, Ian Taylor accompanied guests at an evening dinner event on the Friday evening to enjoy the restaurant's fine cuisine and toast to a successful project.
The £2.5million project, carried out by Midas, involved the building of an extension for two new bedrooms, new entrance and reception area, lift, feature staircase and roof terrace overlooking the harbour and estuary. Work also involved extending the restaurant to accommodate an extra 30 seats and extending the kitchen to house a new fish preparation area.
Midas project manager, Ian Taylor said, "We're really pleased with the final product as we were working to such a tight schedule of 22 weeks and we've had to work pretty much 24/7 - we were only given access to the kitchen and restaurant area for four weeks, so you can imagine the number of man hours that have been put in. However, Midas won the contract because of its record of finishing on time and within budget and, of course, being the local contractor."
