Midas start work at Barnwood Point in Gloucester

( Last Updated: 24-11-2008 )

Midas Construction, part of the Midas Group, has recently started work on site at Barnwood Point Business Park in Gloucester.  Barnwood Point is an 11 acre prominently situated business park fronting the A417 to the East of Gloucester City Centre.

Midas is in the process of the £3.35m design and construction of two buildings at the site for Croudace Properties Ltd.  The buildings are:

  • A 1x 72,000sq ft building for B1, B2 and B8 use
  • A 1 x 20,000sq ft building for B8 use,

together with associated external works and connected utility service intakes provided by the Employer.  The construction of the buildings is on the former Walls ice cream factory site.

Dave Haskell, Director, Midas Construction in Wales, said:

"We have recently started work on two large industrial buildings at Barnwood Point and the construction is going well.  We are extremely proud to be working with Croudace Properties and aim to complete the build in February next year".

Croudace Properties' Director, John Cook, is delighted with progress:

"Despite the slow market we have let half the space and have another unit under offer, so we are pleased works are ahead of program.  Midas has taken a very positive approach to our interests as Client".
