Jo Pearson who attends Penwith College in Penzance was recently seen flying high above one of the buildings on the Midas Construction building project.

Jo has been following the progress of the £6m Zennor building which is one of seven buildings that Midas Construction is currently building for the College.
Jo has been at the College for a year and is studying ‘Personal Progression through practical work skills'. She said:
"This was a great, once in a lifetime opportunity and an amazing experience. I got some great photos capturing the scale of the new build, plus some magnificent views of the surrounding area. I would like to say a big thank you to the Midas team and Kevin Buzza for making it happen, and the Foundations Studies staff and students for cheering me on.

Midas Construction has been on site at Penwith since January this year to construct six new buildings in two phases to provide accommodation for students at the college. The project is one of the last jobs that was given the go ahead for Learning Skills Council (LSC) funding before the recent review of new projects. The first phase will be completed in December 2009 and the second phase; and therefore completion of the project, will be in December 2010.
Kevin Bate, Operational Manager, Midas Construction, said:
"It was such a pleasure to see Jo up in the basket high above us. I am delighted that we were able to help her get up there and enjoy the experience."
The basket that Jo went up in was donated free of charge by MacSalvors in Pool, Cornwall.
The building comprises the flagship Zennor building which will house a multi-purpose theatre, a training kitchen, music practice rooms, hair and beauty salons and additional teaching rooms.
