Midas Construction is delighted to have won the £1.7m contract to redevelop a newly acquired building for BIOQUELL to fulfill its requirement for additional manufacturing and service space.
The team will completely remodel the building to provide up-to-date production and related office facilities, in addition to housing its expanded Room BioDecontamination Service.
BIOQUELL has been at Portway Industrial Estate in Andover for the past year, having moved into a newly renovated building which has been designed to accommodate their research and development, manufacturing and customer service requirements. The company acquired the additional 39,000 sq ft, purchasing an adjacent property, in May to accommodate their expansion requirements.
BIOQUELL provide decontamination solutions for the healthcare, life sciences, food production and defence sectors. The equipment and services provided are utilised within the highly regulated pharmaceutical and bio-technology organisations it serves as well as being a regular and sometimes permanent fixture in many hospitals, in the UK and around the World.
Paul Strachan, Divisional Director, Midas Construction, said:
"We are delighted to be working with Bioquell and the construction of their new building and office refurbishment which forms part of the next step of their expansion plans in the UK."
Mark Bodeker, COO, Group FD, from BIOQUELL said:
"Midas was chosen to provide for our expansion requirements because of their proven track record in completing complex construction and fit-out work in short time and to budget. We are enjoying working with them."
