Midas Group in Devon took part in the Michelmores 5k run, held on the 8th June 2010 in Exeter. The new run course started on the Quay at Exeter and finished at the Double Locks public house further down the canal.
A team of 14 people ran for Midas in a field of 1200 runners. The team included Nick Rance, Glen Rose, Scott Bovey, Carol Clemens, Jo Stanton, James Bartlett, Oliver Kightley, Phil Rivers, Michaela Snell, Duncan Rogerson and David Beaton.
It had rained heavily during the afternoon, but as with all previous Michelmores run events, the sun came out for the race. Post race, the runners had a chance to cool down at the Double Locks where a live band, hog roast and bar were laid on.
David Beaton, Director of Information Services said, "Everyone had a great time at the run and seemed to enjoy themsleves, and it was great that we had so many entrants from Midas for the run"
The event was in aid of Hospiscare, which is Michelmores chosen charity, the Midas team raised over £260 towards their target of £20k
