Now at fever pitch and with the build up to the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor, Midas recently hosted an event at the 2010 Club House to give local people and businesses an insight into what to expect both during and after the event in terms of economic stimulation. Approximately 80 people came along to the event and listened to speeches and presentations by the three most influential people behind this event, Russell Phillips (Vice President), Graham Moore (Ryder Cup Wales) and Paul Tarling (Newport Unlimited).

Following the Ryder Cup theme, Midas played out their own version of the Ryder Cup last weekend at St Mellion International Resort in Cornwall. Now in its 10th year, this internal event sees two squads pitching against each other as Celts (Scots/Welsh/Cornish) playing against the Saxons (English). In this case the Saxons won and let’s hope that is a good omen for Europe against America this weekend.
