As a business which works in the heart of many communities, Midas realises the importance of engaging in consultation with those communities, as well as contributing to the economic and social wellbeing of that area.
Midas staff recognise the importance of acting professionally and considerately at all times, especially when dealing with members of the public, and are aware that respect of communities can never be taken for granted and must continue to be earned.
Midas actively encourages participation in community projects, with staff undertaking many hours of voluntary work and charity fundraising. In 2007/08 Midas staff raised nearly £10,000 for charities and we hope to improve on this during 2008/09.
All Midas sites are registered on the Considerate Constructors Scheme which monitors them against their 8-point Code Of Considerate Practice which includes the following categories:
We achieved an average score of 32 out of a maximum of 40 or 80% during 2007 which places us in the "very good" range. We aim to improve our average to 33 out of 40 (83%).
