This £15 million prestigious project saw Midas work with Sir Terrence Conran’s architectural practice, Conran and Partners, to transform a former office block into luxury apartments.
Leading designers Conran and Partners styled the 167 luxury one- and two-bed apartments on Cardiff’s Newport Road approach into the city.
Midas converted the 13-storey, 1960s office block, including extending the footprint of the building by 200m2 per floor with the construction of a concrete-framed extension at the rear of the building. A two-storey, steel-framed structure was erected on the roof to provide the penthouse apartments with panoramic views over Cardiff Bay.
The work also included the construction of a multi-storey car park for 120 cars, including the provision of two car lifts for access to the different floors.
