Midas Interiors were appointed to refurbish and fit-out the tallest commercial office building in Bristol to Category A and B standards.
Works included the strip out of 4 floors to shell and complete reinstatement to Category A office requirements. The multi-tenanted building remained occupied at all times. The Category B reception refurbishment was particularly challenging as access had to be maintained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The refurbished office areas were handed over in phases. Other specific works were to carry out include plant room upgrades on level 8 including servicing of ancillary plant, installing new switchgear and air handling units to accommodate the building's new requirements.
The building is surrounded by busy pedestrianised walkways and access for material deliveries and waste removal was highly restricted. Hoisting of materials and plant to high level plantrooms had to be carefully managed to ensure operational services for the phased handover areas.
