Midas undertook a £4 million refurbishment of the shopping mall, which houses 30 shops, to extend the mall by 150,000 sq ft of shops and leisure space.

The work included building a new Wilkinson store at the back of the centre, creating a new entrance canopy, new signage and overall modernisation of the mall. This included the “can opening” of the existing concrete roof and subsequent construction of a new roof light.

Midas carried out the work on behalf of HSBC Special Investment, the mall’s owner, through its Shopping Centre Fund, which gives investors the chance to put money into UK shopping centres alongside the bank.
